This is an Arabian dish. A rice dish, cooked with arabian spices and fish for all those special occasions.
Ingredients
. Basmati rice 1 1/2 cups,soaked in water for 2 hrs
. Water 2 1/2 cups
. Fish 3 [any boneless fish]
. For marination
. Chilli powder 2 tsp
. Turmeric powder 2 pinch
. Lemon juice 1/4 tsp
. Salt
. Oil,to fry fish
. To make rice
. oil 2 tbsp
. Whole spices, like, cardamom, 4, cinnamon, 1 piece, cloves 5
. Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
. Dried lemon, whole 2
. Onion 2 sliced
. Tomato puree or crushed
. chilli powder 1 tsp
. Arabian spice mix 1 1/2 tsp
. turmeric a pinch
. Salt
Instructions
Clean the fish, cut it into pieces with little scores on the sides.
Marinate the fish with the ingredients given & keep aside for 1 hr.
Heat a pan with oil & fry all fishes, well.
Take another big pan, with oil, heat it, add whole spices.let it splutter.
Then add onions, fry for a few min.
Asd tomato,& all masalas.chilli powder,arabian masala, dry lemon, salt, turmeric. Fry well, for a few min.
Add water, let it boil. Then add soaked rice.close
lid. Cook for 20 to 30 min,till all water has dried up
and the rice is cooked.
Remove dried lemon & serve hot with fried fish on top.
